How to succeed in life? 5 habits for daily success

Introduction:

One of the insights I discovered in the personal development process I went through is that success is a choice.
And the first thing we must choose in order to create success in our lives is to adopt winning habits into our routine.

In this article I will share with you 5 habits for success from my personal experience that can help you too, every day to produce more significant growth and improvement in your life:

1 – beat the sun

This habit helps me get a lot more done before my day has even started. And the habit is simply to get up earlier in the morning. And to be precise, before the sun rises (and long before my wife and children wake up).

At some point I came to the conclusion that if I want to maximize more of my day – I have to control it.

Therefore, every morning in which I get up before the sun rises is already a victory for me.

Every day I make sure to wake up around 05:00 in the morning, which allows me to exercise, drink and plan my agenda for the rest of the day. By 07:00 I am already alert, energetic and with a planned agenda.

I found that compared to the rest of the day, for some reason in the small hours of the morning, time stands still, and you can get enough done and do much more.

2 – Gratitude

After I wake up in the morning and just before I get out of bed I start a little ritual of gratitude for all the good things in my life.

I close my eyes and give thanks every morning for three good things in my life.

Like for example the fact that I got to wake up to a new day, the beloved and precious people that exist in my life, the house I live in, the job that supports me, the means at my disposal… it’s amazing how we sometimes take things so important in our lives for granted.

Usually we tend to appreciate something – when it is already gone.

Therefore, despite the routine and the race of life, I made it a habit first thing in the morning to appreciate all the small, big and good things in my life.

As soon as we start the morning with a mindset of gratitude, our day looks completely different… it enters proportion and opens with a better and more optimistic attitude that provides us with motivation and positive energy for the rest of the day.

3 – A day with a purpose

This habit helps me achieve results every day, and most importantly, contributes to my feeling of satisfaction from the daily work.

And the habit is:

I don’t start my day before I have a goal list of 3-5 things that are important to me to promote that day.

Regardless of the meetings and tasks that appear in my diary.

These can be professional or personal things – the main thing is that they be of high importance and serve as much as possible great goals that I wish to promote in my life.

Those actions that appear on my daily list will always take priority over all the other activities I have that day.

And the guiding rule is that I don’t go to sleep until I have acted to accomplish or advance those goals.

At the end of each day I go through the list and mark “done” ✔ on each one.

The resulting feeling makes me feel like I’ve gotten a lot more done with my day knowing I’ve advanced my goals one step further.

4 – enter the thought

One of my preferred success habits is to start the morning every day by reading a few pages in a book or alternatively by listening to positive content such as lectures, professional podcasts and audio reference books (audible).

It’s an excellent way to start the day with quality, positive and professional content that enriches and develops thought and helps over time to improve knowledge and skills in the areas that are important to us.

Next to this habit, I made another habit:

I avoid listening, watching or reading the news as much as possible. Certainly when it comes to the beginning or end of the day.

Because it is important to maintain a positive and clean thought throughout the day… and the last thing our thoughts need is a heaping dose of negative news. You can always stay updated on what is happening even at a lower dose and at a time that suits and is right for us.

5 – to be in progress
Every day that passes we are in the progression of our age – that is a given.

Admittedly, at the level of content and meaning, each of us progresses differently in the areas of life: personally, professionally, socially and financially – it’s already a choice!

At some point I realized that the only way I could adjust my life to match my aspirations was to make progress on a daily basis.

I found out very quickly that this is a really difficult task… because there are so many challenges in our routine:

Work, home, children, errands, fatigue, excuses…

That’s why I had to make a habit for myself that would help me overcome these challenges.

And the habit is that every day I make some progress in a certain area of my life. It doesn’t really matter to me if it’s small, big or huge – the main thing is to make progress.

To learn something new, to meet new people, to make a new decision, to take advantage of a new opportunity, to take a risk… so that at the end of the day I will feel that I have done something with my day and acted to make progress in it and give it meaning.

Of course, occasionally it is important to stop and take a mental break – but the rest of the time – progress.

Adopt success habits into your life today – ones that will make a difference!
